Has anybody experimented with the difference between ordering your troops to run or walk?
I used to always get my troops to run everywhere but now I've noticed that it takes them longer to get lined up and be ready to fire especially if you stop them before reaching there destination. What do you guys normally use?

Depends entirely on the tactical situation and how long I project the troops will have to rest once reaching their location.
given the AI's borderline abuse of running, I tend to find myself running troops into optimal position to await the ai getting into range.
If running a body of troops, I tend to send a reserve along with them, of troops only walking who can then deploy to relieve tired troops who ran.
