Less than a year after NTW was launched, I just saw the Empire and Napoleon Total War Game of the Year Edition in a shop that sold for only about 50 dollars. It included both ETW and NTW as well as Empire DLCs and the peninsular campaign. Having paid a full 10 dollars more for the NTW imperial edition, I felt rather short changed because I don't have the peninsular campaign and ETW.
While I can understand that the game will cost less after some time and that the peninsular campaign came out after the imperial edition, it made me wonder if imperial edition players should have gotten free access to the peninsular campaign (only) later through Steam. After all, M2TW gold edition did also include the expansions although they were launched already. Also, those who buy the Game of the Year edition later would still have benefited from the incentive of also getting ETW and the DLCs.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining about the cost or questioning CA's decision. But just like to know some thoughts about this from fellow NTW fans.
