The title pretty much says it all.List some of the things in multiplayer you do well, and some of the mistakes that you do most commonly. After that,it's your choice whether to go more in depth or not.Have Fun with this, and here's mine to get this started:
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
*Best:Creating Balanced Armies
I really Believe i've finally nailed down balanced armies. In general,I'll bring 4 lancers,2 howitzers,a 3-star general,8 line infantry,5 light infantry, and i'll spend whatever else is left on elites and/or upgrades.I'll vary my builds also depending on the faction i'm facing and the map i'm on.Am I facing france?Bring some skirmishers instead of lights.Playing on waterloo?Bring More artillery (it gets really annoying when i'm the attacker on waterloo and the host bans artillery).Does the map have a town?Trade the cav for line infantry.
*Worst:Rushing Cavalry Assault ahead of infantry
I try to avoid this now,but when I do it,it's horrible. What this means is that instead of waiting for my infantry to engage the enemy,I charge my cavalry towards my opponents cav as soon as the battle starts. This works fine on the ai,but in multiplayer it almost always backfires.Typically,My opponents line will stop and he'll turn one infantry unit to face my cavalry. After the bullets fly before I can turn back,he'll form a square and then send his cavalry to massacre my depleted brigades. After that, when the battle begins,he'll maneuver his cavalry wide around my line and kill my general and any artillery I have. Then my infantry will be forced into squares and get massacred by his own line infantry. Anyone who says cavalry is unimportant, think again.
